Artist's Statement

In photography, the larger the negative the higher the image quality.

That's why I produce my work on medium-format film, as the larger negative yields prints that retain both fine detail and sharpness.

As important as the film's format, is selecting the appropriate film for each assignment, and having it processed by a high-quality professional photo lab.

Choosing a Photographer

Here are some important points to consider when choosing a photographer:

  • Is the photographer's portfolio current, and is it representative of the type of work you need?

  • Are the images in the photographer's work in focus?

  • Did the photographer select an appropriate background?

  • Do the colors in the photographer's images appear natural, i.e., no yellow, green or pink casts?

  • Is the photographer a member of any professional organizations?
